Tape Medium Voltage Cable Joints

The tape cable joints are intended to be used for connection of cables up to 36KV through winding of deferent tape layers

Offered sets are:

• straight joint - two XLPE insulated cables 10/20kV; Set contains: W 963, No 17, No 15, No 10 and No 85.
• Transition joint - XLPE-PILC insulated cables 10/20kV; Set contains: W 962, No 20, No 17, No 15, No 10, FSD, heatshrinkable breakout and tubes
• PILC-PILC insulated cables 10/20kV; Set contains: W 962, No 20, No 17, No 15, No 10, heatshrinkable tubes

W963 PLYSAFE® High Voltage Insulating Tape with Liner

A 30 mil (0,76mm) EPR, self-amalgamating high voltage tape for insulating and jacketing splices through 69kV. W 963 Plysafe amal­gamates quickly, yielding a void-free, electrically stable build-up and is ideal for water-proofing. ASTM-D-4388, HH-I-553C/Grade A, MIL-I-3825B.

W962 High Voltage Insulating Tape With Liner

А 20 mil (0,51mm) EPR based high voltage tape with superior electrical, chemical, mechanical and thermal properties. For insu­lating and jacketing of splices on power cable from 600 volts through 138kV and for building stress cones and jacketing of terminations on power cable from 600 volts through 35kV. W  962 is self-amalgamating. ASTM-D-4388.

17 PLYSHIELD® EPR Shielding Tape

A 30 mil (0,76mm) EPR self-amalgamating, conducting tape for shielding high voltage splices and terminations. Use for rebuilding strand shield and insulation shields on high voltage splices and for shielding all types of connections. ASTM-D-4388.

15 PLYBRAID Tinned Copper Shielding Tape

A tinned copper mesh-knit shielding with exceptional conformability for replacing metallic shield in shielded cable repair. The two-inch width allows for quicker application and a larger overlap for increased safety in flexible cables.

20 Plysil® Silicone Rubber Tape

A 20-mil (0,51mm) triangular cross section, self-amalgamating silicone rubber tape used for jacketing high voltage terminations on solid dielectric cable through 69kV. 20 Plysil is track and erosion resistant and can be used as primary insulation for high temperature (180°C) applications. ASTM-D-2148, MIL-I-46852A.

PREMIUM 85 CW

An 8.5 mil (0,21mm) all weather, professional grade, pressure sensitive vinyl tape that provides heavier thickness for added mechanical and electrical protection. Cold and weather resis­tant. Flame retardant. Premium 85 CW can be used as primary insulation for splices at not more than 600 Volts. Excellent protective jacket over all types of splices. Excellent cold weather performance. UL 510, CSA 22.2 (rated from -18°C to 105°C), ASTM-D-3005, MIL-I-24391C.
