Аpplication:

• Straight joints of type SOJ are designed for one- and three-core cables with polymeric insulation.

Features:

• The joints are made of EPDM in combination with butyl rubber as internal gasket and seal.
• The outer protective sheath can be three types:
• tape - from flexible rubber tape of EPDM with internal gasket of butyl rubber (RULLE Tape)
• with cold-shrink tubes (with inner spirals)
• with armoring kit of cast resin
• The screen recovers with copper netted tape or a sleeve and strip springs.
• The field control is made by a "Faraday cage", which is wrapped over the cable joint of conductive layer of the joint, which is in contact with the connector. There are two conductive layers - an inner layer around the connector and an outer layer - in contact with the semi-conductive layer of the cable. Thus is achieved the geometric field control.
• The joint can be applied to cables with XLPE and ERP (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) insulation.
